If you are challenged to take notes on the computer, there is no way to avoid taking notes by hand. Keeping a journal or even an idea book on your computer is fine for many activities, but when you're trying to do something requiring detailed thought and attention, it's not possible. Instead of writing notes by hand, I always use a large notebook. I can write every idea and think it down using a large laptop. 1. Size:

You should choose a larger screen if you are going to watch the video or use apps, and you may want to get a keyboard to go with it so that it is easier to type.  Some people like a small screen to transport it more quickly when they travel, but I would recommend getting one at least nine inches in size because this will allow you to see images clearly and read long articles without scrolling down too much.

A tablet will work better because it has a touch screen. If you have a smartphone, then it will work just as well. But, if you want to write with a stylus, I would recommend getting an old school tablet like the  Sony Tablet S or the  Google Nexus 10.

If you want something lightweight, get an iPad but if you want something more powerful and affordable, get one that runs Android because there are thousands of free apps available for this platform. If you need to get lots of things done on your tablet, get a tablet that runs on a newer version of Windows. The latest version of Windows is called Windows 8.1, which comes with updated apps, and it makes it easier to switch between running multiple applications at once because there's a feature in the operating system called "Snap," which allows you to choose two applications to open at the same time on your screen.
 

5. Battery Life:

If you want to save money, get a tablet that uses Android instead of Windows because it's cheaper, and you can find plenty of free apps. I would still recommend getting one with a full charge and plan on charging it while you are using it. One of the biggest reasons I like Android is that there are many great learning games available on this platform.
